Fundraiser honors girl who died from brain cancer

ALTOONA – Residents in Blair County came together Saturday to remember a young girl who lost her life after fighting brain cancer.
Eight-year-old Maddie Shura died in April. Her family is dedicated to raising money to help fight pediatric cancer and brain cancer.
To support the family's efforts, Dickey’s Barbecue in Altoona donated part of their sales from the fundraiser.
Though the amount raised is still being counted, Shura’s family said it was a great event.
