Dickey’s Jumps to Top Chain of the Food Chain

Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. has just been named the #1 chain in the “Second 100” by Nation’s Restaurant News Magazine. The ranking was based on growth in U.S. systemwide sales and revealed Dickey’s leading with a 57% increase.

“We’re honored to be top on this list,” said Roland Dickey, Jr., CEO and President of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “Our brand is on fire across the nation and there’s no stopping our growth potential. We have the top systems and team in place to succeed.”

Along with skyrocketing sales growth, Dickey’s has experienced major unit growth to over 300 locations in 40 states and currently has over 200 stores in development.

Founder Travis Dickey opened the first Dickey’s in 1941 with a single goal of creating a quick-serve restaurant that would provide the best tasting barbecue just the way people like it. Seventy-two years later, Dickey’s has upheld this goal and continues to expand the brand across the country.
