Longtime Teacher & Administrator Opens Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Abingdon

(Abingdon, MD) Mark Buzminsky spent over 20 years as a teacher and school administrator for Harford County Public Schools. He was ready for a change when he discovered Dickey’s Barbecue Pit. On Thursday, October 16 at 11 a.m., Buzminsky will open Dickey’s Barbecue in Abingdon with a three day grand opening celebration. The first 50 dine in guests receive gift cards worth up to $50.

“After looking at franchises for the past three years, Dickey’s really stood out to me,” said operator and general manager, Mark Buzminsky. “We’re close to military bases and schools which makes Dickey’s family friendly concept a great fit for our community.”

On Friday, guests get a chance to score when Dickey’s Barbecue Pit offers all day merchandise giveaways. On Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., guests can stop by for a barbecue deal with $2 pulled pork barbecue sandwiches and an appearance by radio station Today’s 101.9. One lucky winner will be chosen for a $500 gift card and three winners will receive free barbecue for an entire year.
