Native Nebraskan Opens Fourth Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Lincoln

(Lincoln, NE) Will Carter grew up in nearby Hickman and knew Dickey’s Barbecue Pit would make a great addition to the area. Due to Dickey’s Barbecue Pit’s popularity in Lincoln, Carter will open his fourth location on Thursday, February 19 at 11 a.m. To celebrate his expansion, he’ll host a three day grand opening celebration.
“We love to see franchise success stories like Will Carter,” said Roland Dickey, Jr., CEO of Dickey’s Barbecue. “It’s exciting to see his growth in the community and with our brand.”
Thursday, the party starts when the first 50 guests receive gift cards worth up to $50. The party continues on Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. when guests can catch radio station Froggy 98 and grab a barbecue bargain with $2 pulled pork barbecue sandwiches. One lucky guest will win a $500 gift card and three guests will receive free barbecue for a year. Saturday, guests can stock up on their Dickey’s Barbecue gear when the newest location offers all merchandise giveaways.
“Lincoln is a growing city with a lot of businesses and the University of Nebraska which is great for a fast casual concept,” said multi-unit owner, Will Carter. “Dickey’s Barbecue Pit has been extremely successful here and I’ve been lucky to have the support of the brand.”
Carter resides in Lincoln where he owns the three other Dickey’s Barbecue Pit locations. The newest location is located at 8222 Holdrege Street and the number is 402.486.0048.
